Subject: you might also try...
For those who don't really know BP very well, this recording with unruly vocal and bass levels, might discourage you from downloading other shows. The November 17, 2006 show at the Grog Shop blows me away every time I hear it, not just for the performance (burn one down and check out the lunar cycle>let's start a gang>lunar cycle and you'll see what I mean) but because the recording is close to perfect and allows you to appreciate the intricacy of the music. Another show you need is the Rechter theater one, and of course the NuGroove festival 2006. Hope this helps aspiring fans. Peace.

Subject: grate instrumentals
weak on vocals,When you got a good jam going, weak vocal can can mess up the jam.

Subject: Relix must download
Read the interview in Relix and thought I'd check out the must download concert since the other downloads of Brothers Past I have are mediocre at best. The sound quality is excellent. This is the best download of the band I have. Two things: 1. For a self proclaimed song oriented band, it might be good if the band WAS song oriented. Maybe I just don't get it. Second, to be song oriented, you need good vocals, this band lacks vocal strength. Otherwise, good stuff.

Subject: Wow
Just put it on the other day and yes this is still my favorite bp show. This show had the greatest setting imo. Perfect night with the lake behind the band. Can't get better than this!

Subject: I Might Be Wrong set 2 track 8
The track "I Might Be Wrong" is actually a cover of the Radiohead song from the album Amnesiac. On another note, great show and great sound quality...highly recommended!

Subject: And when you think everything's been done...these guys come along
This is the best Brother's Past show I've ever heard. I hadn't listened to this band in a while and today I streamed this show, and I'm so glad I did! I have some earlier recordings of these guys, and listening to this they have improved so much since then as a whole. Listen to this show, you won't be let down! I can't wait to see them live one day!

Subject: fantastic!
Okay, so I got this show based on suggestions on the bisco phantasy board. And not only does this show pass all expectations I had (especially set 2), but the quality these guys made happen for this show is nothing short of a miracle. After listening to Big Blue Apples, I had to go back and check the source info, and make sure it wasn't a soundboard. I give this my 5 star reccomendation, and I am not even that big of a bp fan. But that may change in the future.....

9-10-04 is one of the most highly regarded shows of the season. Sprawling, textured, deceptively soothing, cajoling the listener. The music moves mysteriously in the dark reaches of your mind. Put on headphones and sink deep into this recording. Or put it in the stereo and turn it up. Here is Brothers Past, taking it to a new level again in the last months of 2004.

This show pleases my ears. Very much. I love the sound. Like mellow funk/soul/jam. Awesome. Very pleasing and good feeling inducing.

Subject: GOOD GOLLIE!
AMAZING second set! One of their very best. >BBA features some hard hitting in your face BP techno (for real techno).

It sounds really good, too. Amazing clarity of all the instruments... except for the bass, which sounds kind of weird sometimes. But that hardly ditracts from the listenability.
